Hwy. 103—August 2011
On two very hot Saturdays, a group of “brothers” from Lufkin’s First Baptist, Carpenter’s Way, Clawson Assembly of God and First Christian Churches worked on a retired couple’s home off Highway 103 East in Lufkin. New siding and trim boards were installed around the entire home. Two coats of paint were then applied to the new wood.

We were able to show the love of Christ to this family in need. We were totally zapped by noon on each Saturday but all of us were extremely blessed by helping the Bailey family. We were also blessed by God bringing together workers from different denominations that love the Lord and have the passion for helping others.
