2015 Recap
2015 was an exciting SEVENTH year for CHRIST Ministries of Texas. We were involved in the following projects:
- We bought a tarp and supplies for a homeless person who contacted Carpenter’s Way Church.
- We paid to have a dead tree cut and removed from the home of an elderly retired couple.
- We partnered with Brookshire Brothers pharmacy on Chestnut St. in Lufkin and paid for prescription medicine for three different individuals in need.
- We bought an apartment sized refrigerator for a disabled man who is living on government assistance.
- We purchased windows for the home of a family that needed to do the repairs so they would qualify to be foster parents to a young boy.
- We paid for an eye exam and glasses for a lady in need.
- We helped a family with the cost of funeral expenses.
- We paid to have a lady’s car towed to an auto repair shop for service.
- We bought a room air conditioner for a man so that he could better survive the heat this summer.
- We repaired a car that was donated to CMOT, and then gave that car to a young lady who was a recent graduate of the Mosaic Center so she would have transporation to work.
- We bought new doors for a lady’s home and then partnered with Goodwill Industries’ work crew to have the doors installed at no cost to the ministry.
- We helped a person make a car payment to prevent the car from being repossessed.
- We helped a person pay some medical bills for cancer treatments.
- We partnered with Strickland Plumbing and repaired the gas line for a lady whose gas had been turned off by the gas company a year ago. She now has affordable heat in her home.
