2014 Recap
2014 was an exciting SIXTH year for CHRIST Ministries of Texas. We were involved in the following projects:

  • We paid to repair the car of a single mom who we had also helped last year. The lady’s husband was killed by a drunk driver several years ago and she struggles to provide for herself and her two young sons.
  • We teamed up with Brookshire Brothers pharmacy on Chestnut Street in Lufkin and paid for prescription medicine for four different individuals.
  • We provided the materials and labor to rebuild the roof of the front porch and carport of an elderly lady. This project was part of an Angelina County wide outreach mission effort called Mission Possible Lufkin/Angelina.
  • We purchased a bus ticket for a young man who was stranded in Lufkin while trying to get to a job in Montana.
  • We helped two families buy groceries and pay various expenses.
  • We provided the materials and labor to paint the inside of a three bedroom home for a single lady who is a paraplegic as a result of an automobile accident several years ago.
  • We paid the rent for a lady who was about to be evicted from her home. This lady works as an aide with a local home health agency and her hours had been reduced from about 40 to 20 hours per week.
  • We paid to repair a septic system for a man and his wife. He is undergoing cancer chemo treatments.
  • We paid for dental work and dentures for a lady that is struggling with the effects of bad life choices. She told us that she loved the Lord and knew that God loved her.
