2019 Recap
2019 was an exciting ELEVENTH year for CHRIST Ministries of Texas. We were involved in the following ministry work during the past year:

  • We started off in January by helping a family pay the funeral expenses of their father who died without life insurance or enough money to pay for the funeral. We were blessed to be able to help them at that difficult time.
  • In February we built a wheelchair ramp for a man in the Rivercrest community.
  • We paid to have plumbing repairs on a lady’s home in the Fuller Springs area of Lufkin.
  • We partnered with Brookshire Brothers Pharmacy on Chestnut Drive to provide prescription medicine for several people in need.
  • We gave a donation to The River Church in Alto to support their efforts to help victims of the Alto tornado. The River Church was one of the lead organizations in the recovery/rebuilding efforts in that area.
  • In July we built a wheelchair ramp for a family in Hanks Creek. This family was caring for their father who had cancer. The cancer had developed to stage four which caused their father to be confined to a wheelchair. They were very appreciative of the help.
  • In December we built a wheelchair ramp for a couple in Lufkin. The man and wife were both in their 90s and the wife had to have a wheelchair to get out of the house. The Angelina County Health District contacted us to see if we could help this couple.
